Himalayan snake has evolved to live in hot springs

A species of snake has evolved to live successfully at high altitude in Himalayan hot springs. The snake lives in hot spring water rising from the convergent boundary between the Asian and Indian tectonic plates. Here it hunts for small fish. The hot water allows it to maintain its desired body temperature. This clip was first created on the Planet Earth website: bbc.co.uk/nature/animals/planetearth/.
